January 2009

When Steve and I returned home to San Francisco after the holidays, were were together as our new family for the first time - aka alone with the 3 month old twins. It was daunting from the start after dropping Steve off at work and I headed home with all the luggage and two babies. The first week we definitely stuck around the house a lot, but the twins were becoming more and more lively, active, and "entertainable". Feeding them all on my own was a challenge without my helpers to pass the babies, plus Addie had self weaned but I was trying to keep going on feeding Peter. The house was much more quiet for the kids so we tried to get out when we could and thanks to a week or two of 70 degree weather later in the month we too to the streets and trails in our new BOB stroller from Nana Lo. We did lunches down at the marina and found a new park near our house. We all made great strides in January. Peter really developed physically, holding his head up on this tummy and standing up with support really just for balance. Adelaide developed verbally, laughing, sometimes hysterically. Here is a video so you can see how cute she is when she finds just about anything - but especially her dad, very funny!

Here are a few pics from our January adventures:
