Homecoming
This year homecoming was not about a huge football game and the even more important tailgate, it was about bringing the twins home. The trip home from the hospital was pretty easy - we have to use the car seats without the bases so steve is able to fit in the drivers seat - we're pretty stuffed in the jetta! The twins looked adorble in matching duckie outfits from great Aunt Lois.
Once home from the hospital on Friday, we spent the afternoon getting settled in with the babies. Even though the twins are boy and girl, we have still gotten them confused from time to time. Perhaps its the sleep deprivation... Since we've been home the nights have been decent enough. They get up a lot and because there are two, it only takes one to cause an interruption, but they are totally consolable babies that cry for only a minute or two (so far). Saturday Steve and I took the babies to their first pediatrician appointment. The good news is that they seem to be on an upward trend weight wise. The twins were very good at their appointment and it really takes two adults to take them to the appointment as there is so much dressing and undressing to do. In the afternoon we introduced the babies to college football, Daddy's favorite thing (note picture of Pete below). That evening John Kunna and his girlfriend Sarah brought over a DELICIOUS dinner that we all appreciated and devoured! Sunday, more of the same. We also enjoyed a visit from our friend Marybeth. Here are some pictures from our first "homecoming weekend".
